I just wonder where he is, that's all. As I recall, he was heading west to the land of the Amish etc. I hope that he and his entourage did not get caught up in all of the heinous B.S. of terminal waiting disease. It's bad enough to have one's world view sullied by idiots with an inexplicable hatred for airplanes, but to have one's vacation disrupted (after nearly going cardiac trying to obtain the proper documentation) is just well, cruddy.
I wish Nocturne the best and will say a prayer to the anti-terrorists gods that they escaped from any gross inconvenience whilst avoiding earthquakes (flying in airplanes). Imagine having purchased some of Pennsylvania's best preserves and having to dump it in a trash bin because some guy named Abdul needs to commit mass aerial homicide like a normal person needs to take a sh*t...

I wonder if Nocturne got to see the Amish in Pennsylvania. I am 1 hour from there.
I went to the beach in Delaware last weekend and Amish were all over the place in their horses and buggies with their families in a cart behind them.
It is so cool to see.

I'm starting to get a little alarmed. It is not right that the Grove should overlook this failure to report with such facile casualness. I suspect the Amish of taking him prisoner as part of a terrorist plot.
Everyone knows how sneaky and unstrustworthy the Amish are with their super-secret agenda for World Domination. They secretly thrist to turn the whole world into a seething pit of carts, horses, farms and peaceful, obediant, happy children.
Nuclear weapons are not out of the question in controlling this emerging threat to World Order.
But seriously, it's getting a little upsetting and even I, the eternal phlegmatist, am feeling some alarm. NOCTURNE WHERE ARE YOU??? WE ARE CLOSE TO LAUNCHING A SERACH PARTY!!! HAVE YOU GONE INTO THE WOOD TOO FAR !?! WE ARE BECOMING CONCERNED!!! IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT !?! TAP ONCE FOR YES! TWICE FOR NO!

came back this morning....jet lag nad 4 hour delay
stayed in a cabin in PA by this lake called lake canadohta by meadville and Warren ( i think, PA)
had a great time, bought some amish bread, i like the way they live, it's good to be a bit different...
didn't like = hot lovely days with t-shirt then freezing my balls off going for a meal...having to put a jacket on to eat ...turn the flipping air con down a bit...TOO COLD
great drive to Florida and the Keys, got pissed on duval street and stayed strictly hetro !

Great to hear from you noct' glad you liked your stay. It's going to be horrid jet lag when I go over to Europe. We are talking a 8-9 hour lag! I'm going to be snorring on my heals for days. Tell me, did you get to Jacksonville?

The return of Nocturne is cheered by the peasants, who have been anxious in his absence. They patiently await another appearance at the balcony, wishing him speedy recovery of his biorhythms.
NOTE ON JET LAG: Scientific experiments have shown that one may help to counter the effects of JL by exposing the backs of the knees (sic) and/or the face to sunlight at the hours that you wish to remian awake. For some reason, the body's neurons sense light most on the backs of the knees in addition to the face/eyes. So if you can, wear shorts when you are out in the sun and it should help to keep you more awake and better reset your internal clock to normal GWT!
NOTE#2: This is weird.The Grove should be aware that Nocturne and I have a history that whenever he has not posted on one of my threads for a long period of time, when he finally does, something extraordinary happens in my life. This has ahppened over and over again in the couple of years we've known each other. Well, it happened again today!!! This is the first post on one of my threads that Nocturne has made in many weeks. It is also the morning when I just received a call telling me that I have bought my first home!!!Yep, the gent called to tell me that the offer I put in on a very modest condo near where I work, was accepted and I am now in escrow for the first time in my life. Congratulations PG. You did good. Now if you can just pay an extra $150 per month then you will have it paid off in approximately 1/2 the time. That is what I did with my first condo, you will chip away at the principal very quickly that way.
It is also a big investment. I started out buying a condo several years back and watched the price triple in only a few years of living there. Sold it and bought a townhouse and investment property with the proceeds of the sale of the condo.
Take good care of it .........
All you have to do is quit eating and it will be affordable!
