PSALM 150

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

It represents a change of psyche, relation to emotion and the body. It is not just a change in "style".

I went to a funeral service at a black church in Portland. A friend's father had died. What a service.

I had my differences in opinion, let us say, over some theological points, but their church was a real anti-dote to "lack of spirit".

I feel it is no surprise that since secularism and modernism fails to give meaning to one's life and the traditional symbols have lost their power that Charismatic churches (where one is Born-Again, Baptized in the Spirit, and receives gifts of the Spirit) are the fastest growing among all the churches. The infilling of the Holy Spirit by-passes all symbolism. Perhaps this is the meaning of the Age of Aquarius. In any case we are seeing a Great Awakening.  Charismatic, in size, is second only to Roman Catholic.   All the major denominations have charismatic branches including the Catholic Church.  Apparently the last two Popes approve of the Charismatic revival occurring world wide.

Here is local (North Carolinian) Worship and Praise Leader Suzy Yaraei.  "Heaven on Earth" - such a great and sweet song.
