He didn't exactly say that but it was to be deduced from his example.
The problem is that the government as an ego cannot be any more overcome than some kind of sum of the egos of the county's constituent members.
So, the goverment engages in all the idealization/demonization and blesses and curses as it is alternately possessed by Spirit and the force of its own egotism.
To overcome the government as an ego, we, the constituent members of its society, have to overcome our own egos.
And not by coming egotistically anti-egotism which has been the Rx of the last two thousand years.

The Department of Justice says that America launders $500 billion to a trillion dollars a year. What would happen if America stopped being the world wide leader in global money laundering? Since 1995 the Federal government has been required by law to produce audited financial statements. Yet to date the federal government has never once obeyed those laws. Nobody knows where the moneys really goes in the Fedaral government. Enron with all it's public accounting ripped the average citizen off in a big way - the Federal government is even worse than Enron. Almost the entire Federal budged is unaccounted for, undocumented.
