Thought provoking.  The website has a sort of anti-bourgeois flavor that would be interpreted here in the USA as individualist.

Yes Phil.  This too is about environment?  They got their first   "hit" in a rather creative place.  Addict's of a different kind.  I just wonder if they know anything about symbolism ,etc..esp surrealistic movement.  I know when I first started my serious hobby of art I was only interested in making beautiful pictures...then when I got my real big shock and started reading depth psych books and entered a formal art school I knew I had to leave chosen beauty behind just for a while during the serious phase of Jungian work and inner child stuff..etc. One can find a lot of nuts in the art world ..possibly as Jung said once the percentageapplys here that only about a certain amount are true "artists" when it comes to using it as a tool for individuation.  It still to me forever will be relaxation, beauty, joy, discovery and "spiritual".I am most curious about this couple.  I wonder if they have a good sex life and enjoy solitude or if they are purely "performers" in this   theatrical world.

Performance art is actually a good movement.  It  can't be documented for if it is then it is a "performance".  It also has some real  nuts  but I did a few in school that were affective but were so for I was 45, in therapy and capable of insight .

My wife's opinion is Art is Art and its enjoyment is not a privilege. I think Herb and Dorothy enjoy the act of the hunt, acquisition, and presentation to others more so than the actual having.  I am sure they are experts in the subject matter but I wonder what exactly is it that fascinates them? If they ever give talks or host gatherings what would be the topic they choose to discuss?
