I picked up a box of six year old Red Korean Ginseng Roots while I was in China. They came in a sealed metal can. When I opened the can inside was a wooden box. The box lid slides to open it. Inside the roots were wrapped in parchment stamped with large chinese characters.

I cooked up half a root, ate it, and I'm now drinking the broth. Yum.
