The Left has discovered that the Body of Christ is integral and everywhere in America! In all social strata of America, from poor mainstream Americans all the way to business elites and the halls of Washington DC. - Christians form the fabric of this country! This is part of the strong opposition that Obama and our extreme left-wing statist government has encountered.
There is a bit of yellow journalism here but left-wing author Jeff Sharlet's book is definitely causing the secular Left to pee themselves in fear (bwahahahaha!) with his investigative non-fiction book:

Jesus has been relegated to an increasingly back seat role, even in Christian's lives, to the things of this world, whether Hollywood, fashion, houses, boats, cars, motorcycles or the like. When I grew up Leave it to Beaver was a prime time show. The biggest show in the world today is American Idol. Today some Christians don't give a second thought toward watching shows like Desperate Housewives or even more desperately depraved programming on HBO or "Hell's Best Offering". Compare Church evangelism of today with the period in the first half of the 20th century and before, going back to the Reformation. Look at the false doctrines and ecumenism that permeate our churches today. Look at how much of the Church has sunk into apostasy. Is the Church reflecting the truth of God's Holy Word, or has the truth been turned into fables?

Church leaders? Any names come to mind? Perhaps some that so defamed themselves to the detriment of Christianity, on TV? One of these was responsible for the highest ratings in the entire history of Ted Koppel's Nightline. What about all the church leaders that have carried their Churches into apostasy, like those Bishops in the Episcopal Church U.S.A. that voted that Church further into apostasy?

Muslim? Oh no, his opinion is very typical of a large percentage of the unbelieving but especially those of the political Leftist/Socialist persuasion. I marvel at the ridiculous interpretations that come out of their mouths concerning everything that a Christian considers plainly written. There is definitely a dark spirit at work in them. It is plain as day when you see them in person. In fact I'm going bring this up at a prayer meeting tonight.
Churches that have sunk into apostasy are dying. Forget them and lead their members who are yearning for Holiness. New churches full of the Spirit of God are forming and growing at a tremendous rate.

At tonight's prayer meeting a missionary member just returned from two weeks San Francisco to be with her husband doing some ministry in the tenderloin district. She said a Revival has started all over the Bay Area with some churches having revival meetings seven nights a week and packed with people! She also had a meeting with some Messianic Jews. One of them looked at her closely and then prophesied exactly what was bothering her at home and told her that her daughter would very soon stop being militant atheist. She lives with her daughter and grand daughter. Her daughter absolutely forbids her to talk her grand daughter about God.

The Bay Area needs some revival meetings, but as soon as you point out that homosexuality is sinful, according to the Bible, all hell breaks loose.
I've heard Messianic Jews prophesy but, at the time, it didn't make sense to me. I was still on a 'milk diet.' Being with Messianic Jews, I thought, would help me understand the Bible better. (Maybe a few more lessons in Hebrew - reading and speaking it - might've helped.) Wish I could find a non-denominational prayer meeting close by.
My daughter has been the same way, but she's softening. She didn't want me to teach or correct her youngest son. But it's okay for his paternal grandfather to take him to a Catholic church. Now she's promised me that, if she doesn't go to church Sunday, we will have a Bible study. There are always these stipulations and compromises. Not good!
