Don't Tread on Me

When tyrants want to take the next big step towards totalitarianism, they usually toss out some “trial balloons,” both to see how people react and to begin desensitizing people to the new fascist agenda. If they’re smart, they first propose a big leap toward totalitarianism, and then cut it back to a small step. By contrast, the peasants will not only be pleased with the smaller step, but will be trained to think that the larger step is at least debatably a good idea.
The American tyrants, and those in other countries, have done this over and over again with “gun control” (peasant disarmament), taxation, regulation, and so on. They suggest something startlingly bad, then scale it back to only mildly obnoxious, and pass it. And they keep doing it over and over again, until they’ve imposed all sorts of things that in the past seemed outrageous. And since hardly anyone thinks from principle, it works. Most people just compare what is being proposed to what already is, assuming that what already is must be more or less rational. For example, the feds steal half of what everyone earns, and then bicker over little increases here and there, each one of which doesn’t seem all that important. Whether you’re a 49% slave or a 50% doesn’t make much difference, and those accustomed to their slavery aren’t about to insist on 0% slavery. That would require them to think based upon principles, which most Americans are utterly incapable of.
A recent trial balloon of the Obama Regime came in the form of H.R. 45, proposing national gun registration, and enough “regulations” to basically amount to universal disarmament. It won’t pass, not now anyway, but the Nazis wanted to see how people would react to the idea, and begin to get the people used to it. For now, they’ll take smaller steps, like reinstating the “Depriving the People of the Means of Resistance Act” of 2009–also known as the reinstatement of the Clinton “Assault Weapons Ban.” (The weapons targeted there are not used in any significant amount of crime, but are used throughout the world to resist tyrannical regimes. So why does the government not want you to have them? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out.)
But, among all the fascist “trial balloons” already being floated by the Obama Regime–and there are quite a few–one recently came out that is particularly absurd. Again, the real intent, and the real long term goal, was included in the initial proposal, but has since disappeared from what is likely to pass in the near future. Again, the tyrants want us getting used to the idea, while pretending to “compromise” by toning down their fascism for the time being.
I am speaking of the Orwellianishly titled, “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education” (GIVE) Act. Now, anyone who has actually thought for a second or two about political philosophy will immediately recognize that having the word “volunteerism” in a “GOVERNMENT” Act is a bald-faced lie. The state is the OPPOSITE of voluntaryism and volunteerism. Everything it does, it does by forcible coercion, no matter how much fluff and spin is used in an effort to hide that fact.
As originally proposed, the law would have had the federal fascists beginning to consider the question of “[w]hether a workable, fair, and reasonable MANDATORY service requirement for all able young people could be developed.” (That wording disappeared from the bill before the House passed it.) A fine synonym for “mandatory service” is “involuntary servitude,” a.k.a. SLAVERY (prohibited by the 13th Amendment). In other words, Barack Obama and his fellow Stalinists are proposing reinstating slavery. Of course, it will be for NICE reasons, and have NOBLE goals, so the unthinking American public will probably fail to notice the PRINCIPLE involved: i.e., forced labor is a bad thing. (For now, let’s ignore the fact that an “income tax” already amounts to slavery.)
As one who thinks from principles, let me make this perfectly clear: If anyone ever tries to impose a “mandatory service requirement” on MY kid, the results will not be pleasant. There’s a reason for the Second Amendment. This is it.

I don't think Obama has the wherewithal to do pull off tyranny. I think that he has some definite aspects in that direction, and a lot of what we see is his attempt to please his base, the ones who have sustained him in his quest to fight off an inner depression that was the result of his abandonment by his father.
But a whole army of Pelosis and Reids and the lot could do major damage.
We have to ask ourselves why he is there?
And, the answer is that there are an enormous number of people whose solutions to the problems of life are similarly based on his values and mindset.
That is the problem.

'Mandatory youth service' bill advances
House version commissions panel to consider 'volunteer' requirement
Congress appears ready to pass an Obama administration plan that could create mandatory public service requirements for all American youth, fulfilling a campaign promise.
The bill, HR 1388: The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, otherwise known as the "GIVE Act," has already passed the House by a vote of 321-105.
(It was amended to change the word "camp" to campus. They don't want the public to think it's like Hitler's youth camps - which it is.)
On Tuesday, the Senate voted closure on the motion to proceed by a margin of 74-14 in a move that makes its ultimate passage likely.
The bill, promoted by the Obama administration as a means of encouraging America's youth to participate in voluntary community service, has received little scrutiny from Congress or the public.
Yet, a version of the bill in the House proposes to establish a Congressional Commission on Civil Service tasked with determining whether a mandatory service requirement for all young people in America could be developed and implemented, though it is not clear that provision will survive a conference committee.
Moreover, an amendment to the bill introduced by Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., one of the bill's 37 co-sponsors in the House, appears to severely restrict the First Amendment by prohibiting the youth participating in the program from attempting to influence legislation, organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts or strikes.
Funds under the bill are designated to be distributed through AmeriCorps, even though AmeriCorps volunteers have a history of being recruited and employed by community programs with an ideological purpose supported by Democratic Party politicians, including Planned Parenthood.
Under terms of the legislation, volunteers recruited into AmeriCorps through the GIVE Act could end up counseling Planned Parenthood clients to recommend and arrange abortions.
It is uncertain whether restrictions will survive into the final legislation that would prohibit GIVE Act participants from being recruited under the program to work in ACORN, a radical community organizing group facing criminal charges in several states for voter fraud.
"The purpose of the bill is to require mandatory community service for all young people in the United States," Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, told WND in a telephone interview.
"The mobilization of the youth to put them into community work environments that are specified in the bill raises questions about who will be teaching the youth and what is deemed appropriate community service," he said.
"It's great young people should do community service, but to have mandatory government-run community service projects may be a different thing," Poe stressed, explaining why he voted against the bill. "It's better if we can encourage young people to volunteer, and when you require something of them you are certainly not volunteering, and to place them only in government-controlled programs concerns me."
Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, who also voted against the GIVE Act, expressed to WND his reservations.
"I opposed the bill because it would expand and authorize programs that have been audited and considered ineffective by the Office of Management and Budget, which does not align with the administration's stated plans of encouraging transparency and accountability in all federal programs."
WND telephoned the office of Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, D-N.Y., the bill's sponsor in the House, to ask for comment on this story, but did not receive an immediate response.
Larry Hart, director of government relations for the American Conservative Union, said the history of the program goes back to the VISTA program under the Carter administration.
The problem is that taxpayer funds under the GIVE Act could end up getting paid to volunteers in organizations that are doing political advocacy activity," Hart said.
"Whether the safeguards in the GIVE Act that are sufficiently strong to prohibit taxpayer funds from being used for political advocacy remains to be seen, until the Senate passes a final bill and the House-Senate conference committee gets together on final language," he said.
According to Fox News, the legislation could cost up to $6 billion over five years and would create 175,000 "new service opportunities" under AmeriCorps.
WND previously reported that the GIVE Act may be the first step taken by the Obama administration to create what candidate Obama called his "National Civilian Security Force" in a speech last year in which he urged creating an organization as big and well-funded as the U.S. military.
WND also reported when a copy of the speech provided online apparently was edited to exclude Obama's specific references to the new force.
Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel coauthored a 2006 book entitled "The Plan: Big Ideas for America' that called for three months of compulsory civil service for all Americans aged 18 to 25.
The Obama/Biden campaign website proclaims that "Obama and Biden will expand AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps with "a goal that all middle and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year, and will establish a new tax credit that is worth $4,000 a year in exchange for 100 hours of public service a year."
After completing college at Columbia University, Obama in 1983 became a community organizer in the Chicago-based Developing Communities Project, an organization that operated according to principles articulated by Saul Alinsky, whose 1971 book "Rules for Radicals" articulated a socialist strategy for gaining political power to redistribute wealth from the "haves" to the "have-nots."

This is so far from JFK and his Peace Corps and his volunteer program for the US. This is scary and what is just as scary is the ozone that the zombies in the Congress breathe in their cold, semi-lifeless hearts.
Hitler Youth and Mussolini youth and the Russian version of these state-run programs designed to tell the kids who they really belong to.

The senate just passed the GIVE bill, now it goes to Obama's desk. NOT the president's desk! Until Obama proves his eligibility to be POTUS, any bill or executive order he signs is invalid.
Military men, including some on active duty in Iraq, are included in lawsuits to divulge whether or not Obama is Commander of the military and whether or not his orders should be obeyed.
"Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born."
It doesn't matter where he was born, in the states or elsewhere, dual citizenship disqualifies him!

Here is a partial listing and status update for some of the cases over Obama's eligibility: - New Jersey attorney Mario Apuzzo has filed a case on behalf of Charles Kerchner and others alleging Congress didn't properly ascertain that Obama is qualified to hold the office of president.
- Philip J. Berg, a Pennsylvania Democrat, demanded that the courts verify Obama's original birth certificate and other documents proving his American citizenship. Berg's latest appeal, requesting an injunction to stop the Electoral College from selecting the 44th president, was denied.
- Leo Donofrio of New Jersey filed a lawsuit claiming Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court but denied a full hearing.
- Cort Wrotnowski filed suit against Connecticut's secretary of state, making a similar argument to Donofrio. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court, but was denied a full hearing.
- Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes headlines a list of people filing a suit in California, in a case handled by the United States Justice Foundation, that asks the secretary of state to refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office. The case is pending, and lawyers are seeking the public's support.
- Chicago attorney Andy Martin sought legal action requiring Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle to release Obama's vital statistics record. The case was dismissed by Hawaii Circuit Court Judge Bert Ayabe.
- Lt. Col. Donald Sullivan sought a temporary restraining order to stop the Electoral College vote in North Carolina until Barack Obama's eligibility could be confirmed, alleging doubt about Obama's citizenship. His case was denied.
- In Ohio, David M. Neal sued to force the secretary of state to request documents from the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic National Committee, the Ohio Democratic Party and Obama to show the presidential candidate was born in Hawaii. The case was denied.
- In Washington state, Steven Marquis sued the secretary of state seeking a determination on Obama's citizenship. The case was denied.
- In Georgia, Rev. Tom Terry asked the state Supreme Court to authenticate Obama's birth certificate. His request for an injunction against Georgia's secretary of state was denied by Georgia Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter.
- California attorney Orly Taitz has brought a case, Lightfoot vs. Bowen, on behalf of Gail Lightfoot, the vice presidential candidate on the ballot with Ron Paul, four electors and two registered voters.

NewsWithViews.com Though I have a tendency to write long articles, thick with commentary, the urgency of the information I want to share with you compels me to keep this direct and to the point. Along with the information you will be reading, I have included informative links. Please take the time to go to each of these links and verify the information I am sharing with you. It is important that you see the sites for yourself. There is much we all need to understand and share with other American citizens. First though, I remind you of the ‘proper frog cooking’ theory which explains that a frog put into a pot of hot water will jump right out. Instead, you must put it into a pot of warm water and raise the temperature slowly, so the frog doesn’t recognize the danger, until it is too late. With that in mind, I’ll get to the point. Take 19 seconds to listen to the words of then Presidential candidate, Barack Obama here. March 18th, 2009 the House of Representatives passed the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, HR 1388 followed by a quick passage in the Senate. There is much talk about a provision for the study of a mandatory service program, removed at least for now, with the possibility of being added again in conference.
WND wrote an excellent article about the ‘Give Act’. I want to give you a little more information and context. Keep that frog in hot water in mind. The United Nations has a volunteer program called the White Helmets. (Excerpt from a UN document dated Dec 1997) [Participation of volunteers, "White Helmets", in activities of the United Nations in the field of humanitarian relief, rehabilitation and technical cooperation for development. Calls upon States to promote the facilitation of cooperative actions between the United Nations system and the civil society, through national volunteer corps, in order to strengthen the United Nations capacities for early and effective response to humanitarian emergencies; ] To understand why the UN ‘White Helmets’ should be a concern to American Citizens and how it relates to HR 1388, you must understand how our government works with the OAS and the ‘Summits of the Americas’. The Organization of American States (OAS) is an arm of the United Nations (UN) In brief; the OAS is a 34 member multinational hemispheric organization of which the United States is one member state. The Summits of the Americas is an instrument of the OAS, as is the Inter-American System. I have written several articles about the OAS and the Summits, The Demise Of The American Identity and As Our Towers Fell have details about their inner workings and their agenda. In a recent interview, she said the following: [“I presume there is always a threat from terrorism. In my speech, although I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.”] Amazing isn’t it how subtly DC changes the meaning and purpose with just a gentle change of language. The language follows the tone set by the OAS, which follows the tone of the UN. Civilian Volunteer Corps, to mandatory service, to Civilian National Security Force. Just that quickly, just a change in tone, a few word adjustments and our children go from freedom into mandatory service, from neighborhood good deeds and volunteerism, to ‘campuses’ and ‘uniforms’ with White Helmets. Can we, as a free people, afford to sit back and say nothing? Please share this information with as many Americans as possible. This may not be a surprise to the readers of NewsWithViews, but to many Americans, it may come as quite a shock. If possible, read, dissect and expose the OAS, the Inter-American System and the Summits of the Americas to others. Write, blog, call talk radio, make copies and hand them out to your co-workers or your neighbors, visit your representatives, do everything possible. It is going to take each of us doing all we can to unravel this spider web with which we have become entangled.
