There are currently 27,647 Protestant divisions recognized by the IRS for tax-exempt purposes in just the United States alone.
You could go to a different denomination once a day, everyday from the day you were born and would not finish visiting them all until you were 75!
We have got to commit to a church and believe that we are a part of that body. If we believe that the Bible is true, Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians that people to not join churches at random. They are created to be specific part of a body at a specific time. They are not created to endlessly seek what makes them happy.
It is not always easy, but we are created for a specific church and that church needs us, and we need them.

But which churches agree on doctrine?
Jesus said, "The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one..." John 17:22
Jesus taught, the disciples learned, and they taught what they'd learned from Jesus. They were of one accord. Today we have pre-trib and post-trib and other conflicts of scripture. And then there's the "New Age" cult. Actually, there's probably more cults than there are churches. If I were a betting person, I'd say the IRS favors the cults.

I don't know what the answer is to the disunity of the church.
A lot of the differences are innocuous, mere emphasis on particular parts of the scripture, but on the whole worthy even if individual members are wallowing in sin from unbelief. I think most denominations and congregations are in that category. What concerns me the most are the familiar spirits and how beguiling they can be sometimes. I've encountered a couple myself A clever familiar spirit can lead even a sanctified church leader down some pretty screw-ball paths leading whole congregations and even taking whole movements in the church far astray off the narrow path. It is terrible when good people are fooled by a familiar spirit into thinking it is from God.
Familiar spirits are warned about 17 times in the Bible. The Lord hates it when people turn to them. The Knights Templar intentionally uses familiar spirits but that doesn't make it a good.

Is that Wiccan or New Age religion that has 'familiar spirits"?
And how did you encounter familiar spirits?
They show that kind of stuff on TV. My daughter and grandson watch it and believe it, but I know better.

Familiar spirits seem to be assigned to individuals or families. They know your history and weaknesses. They will reveal themselves and act like your best buddy who is full of knowledge that will help you attain your goals... whatever will keep you turned from God. If you rebuke them they can get nasty. There is a lot of info about them on the internet and youtube. I will tell you my own recent experiences
My daughter had a dream were a dark man offered her fame and power if she obeyed him. She grew afraid and said no. I had a dream shortly after that were a man in shadow standing under a purple Jupiter sky offered to be my spiritual adviser in my dreams. I told him I didn't know him and didn't trust him. A couple of months later my dad came to visit us, during a normal friendly conversation, suddenly looked at me and said the most damnable thing, a curse basically, then he got a shocked expression on his face and wondered aloud why he said what he said. That was a familiar spirit temporarily using my father to curse me!
